About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. About the roles
* Based in Nanango
* Maximum Term - Full Time (up to 12 months)
* $80K- $86K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Officer to join our Water and Wastewater Branch. This multifaceted role will provide technical, administrative, and project support across a range of infrastructure services. The role will be responsible for responding to technical enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, preparing funding applications, coordinating tenders, quotes, and contracts, and monitoring financial performance and expenditure. In addition, this role will provide executive level administrative support and assist with quality management. The successful candidates will bring demonstrated experience in project management, a solid understanding of the technical and legislative requirements associated with infrastructure—including assets, construction, and maintenance—and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organisational and computer skills, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, are essential for this position.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Minimum requirement of a current C Class drivers licence
* General Safety Induction for Construction Worker (White Card)

* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Project Management, Business Administration)

Skills and experience
**Please address the following key selection criteria items below, as part of your application**
1. Relevant experience in project management and contract administration.
2. Knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects and legislative requirements associated with Water and Wastewater reporting, including water and wastewater performance and quality reporting, infrastructure assets construction, maintenance, and administration.
3. Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
4. High level of computer skills including sound knowledge of the MS Suite and knowledge of corporate software systems and database management.
5. Sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team in an environment of change.
