Job Description
* Lead the end-to-end payroll function for 1500+ employees across multiple sites
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 payroll professionals
* Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing in line with legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
* Drive payroll system improvements, automation, and process efficiencies
* Strengthen compliance frameworks, controls, and audit readiness
* Partner with Finance, HR, and external stakeholders to support reporting and business initiatives
* Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and transformation projects
The Successful Applicant
* Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Leader in a complex environment
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and compliance requirements
* Demonstrated experience in systems implementation, upgrades, or transformation projects
* A proactive leader with the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders
* High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, governance, and process improvement
* Mining, industrial, or large workforce environment experience will be highly regarded
* Ideally looking at candidates who can start at short notice
