About the role
Join ADA Support Services' team of dedicated Disability Support Workers and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with disabilities. In this casual role, you will provide compassionate, person-centred support to enable our clients to live independently and participate actively in their local community. Based in Atherton, QLD, this is a rewarding role that offers flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.
What you'll be doing
* Assist clients with personal care needs, such as showering, dressing, and daily living activities
* Support clients to access the community and participate in social, recreational, and educational activities
* Provide domestic assistance, such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
* Advocate for clients' rights and empower them to make informed choices
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
* Collaborate with the wider support team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
What we're looking for
* A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and making a positive impact on their lives
* Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred, compassionate care and support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach
* A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent is highly desirable
