**Position Overview**:
You will play a crucial role in supporting an NDIS participant with complex behavioral needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored, high-quality care and support that enhances the participant's quality of life such as cooking the meals of the participant and ensuring the house is clean at all times. You will be required to maintain the upkeep of the premise. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement key daily living skills. Participant is highly active and very big for his age. Participant is also quite dysfunctional and incoming staff will need to be equipped to handle such behaviors.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct support to the participant home, including personal care, daily living activities.
- Implement and follow individualised support plan for the particpant.
- Monitor and document the progress you have made with supporting the home and its upkeep
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals such the dietician who has implemented a regimented diet for the participant.
- Maintain a safe and positive clean environment for the participant.
- Assist with developing and promoting the participant's independence and life skills.
- Respond effectively to high-intensity behaviours and crises, following established protocols.
- Participate in regular training and professional development to stay updated on best practices to support participant.
- Diffuse various escalations.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with individuals with high behaviour support needs.
- Training in crisis intervention and positive behaviour support.
- Experience working with individuals with complex and challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated ability to be able to keep a home clean and cook meals as that is the main requirements of this role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- Understanding of NDIS frameworks and standards.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
