The Harvey Golf Club ), founded in 1929, is an 18-hole par 72 fully reticulated course with bent grass greens, located at Harvey, Western Australia
We require a Full-Time Greenkeeper as an addition to our small team.
While the focus of this role is the operation and maintenance of the irrigation system to ensure efficient and timely watering of greens, fairways and surrounds, duties will also include general greenkeeper responsibilities, such as mowing and maintenance of the course and equipment.
What you'll be doing
* Operation and maintenance of the irrigation system, ensuring efficient water of the greens, fairways, and surrounds
* Operating and maintaining various machinery and equipment so the golf course and surrounding areas are presented to specification
* Application of chemicals and fertilizers.
* Assisting with the set-up and preparation tournaments and events
* Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations
* Providing excellent customer service to members and visitors
What we're looking for
* A hands-on operator with an eye for detail and ability to work early mornings and weekends as required.
* Experience in golf course, sports turf, or landscape maintenance (Turf qualifications preferred).
* ChemCert Accreditation (Preferred)
* Computer Literate
* Experience in operation of sprinkler irrigation systems and controllers (Preferred)
* Sound knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and techniques
* Proficient in the use of various grounds keeping equipment and machinery
* A current driver's licence
