About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team in Macksville. In this role, you will support the end-to-end procurement and stock management process, from supplier purchase orders through to stock delivery and system booking. You'll play a key part in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely supplier payments, managing backorders, and supporting the Procurement Manager with reporting and strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier purchase orders from approval through to delivery and system booking.
* Coordinate fortnightly supplier prepayments with the finance team.
* Book inbound stock and manage stock returns in line with procedures.
* Perform stock adjustments, warehouse transfers, and maintain accurate inventory records.
* Monitor stock levels to minimise stock-outs, excess stock, and late dispatches.
* Generate and manage backorder reports to support Customer Care and Logistics teams.
* Maintain accurate supplier and purchase order data (ETAs, lead times, MOQs).
* Assist the Procurement Manager with reporting, load-sheets, airfreight recommendations, and risk mitigation.
* Support periodic stocktakes and help maintain item master data (creation, updates, deletions).
* Respond promptly to stakeholder enquiries and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Experience & Knowledge
* 2–3 years' experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
* Background in logistics and procurement processes.
* Proven ability to manage high-volume processing with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience with Sage Evolution and Netstock is desirable but not essential.

* Adaptability in a dynamic, evolving environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage Evolution and Netstock is a plus.
