It boasts a comprehensive range of medicalservices, including a four-bed high dependency unit, 39 beds inmedical, surgical, and maternity units, and additional specializedunits such as a 10-bed paediatric unit and an eight-bed in-patientmental health unit.
The hospital's emergency department is abustling hub of activity, addressing a wide range of healthcareneeds.
Broome Hospital is well-equipped for surgical procedures,particularly in general surgery and gynaecology, with an annualdelivery rate of approximately 350 babies.
The hospital issupported by dedicated resident specialist teams, including generalsurgeons, general physicians, paediatricians, psychiatrists, andgynaecologists.
Furthermore, Broome benefits from regular visits byspecialist physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, ENT specialists,dermatologists, and cardiologists.Derby Hospital is located at the main access point to thefamous Gibb River Road, embodies the friendly and relaxed characterof the Kimberley.
The hospital's services include an emergencydepartment, 22 acute care beds, and an additional four maternitybeds complete with a birthing suite.
The hospital is staffed byDistrict Medical Officers who collaborate with rotating juniordoctors to provide comprehensive healthcare services.Kununurra District Hospital is situated just 37 kilometresfrom the Northern Territory border, Kununurra District Hospitalprimarily operates under the guidance of District Medical Officers.It offers a total of 32 inpatient beds and extends its reach byproviding clinics and telephone support to Wyndham and Halls CreekHospitals, as well as to the Warman and Kalumburu communities.Kununurra delivers around 120 babies and does around 500 surgeriesa year.Fitzroy Crossing Hospital is committed to deliveringhigh-quality indigenous health services.
It offers modernfacilities and a 12-bed facility to ensure the comfort andwell-being of patients.Halls Creek Hospital provides essential healthcareservices with its eight acute beds, four boarding beds, and adedicated palliative care bed.
