The Graduate Program
Starting your career as a new grad can feel overwhelming — Empower supports you every step of the way. The 12-month program provides a well-balanced approach to clinical and personal development, empowering you to make a real difference in people’s lives. You will embark on a journey of professional development with mentors, peers and a team environment. A personalised GROWTH plan, with regular mentoring, learning modules and workshops will form the basis of your schedule.
Our dedicated graduate program provides structured support so you can confidently transition into life as a first-year clinician and extend the skills you developed at university. The service model focuses on delivering the best clinical outcomes for clients. You will work with clients of varying ages and needs. The program provides a graded caseload so you have time to develop skills in one area at a time.
As a member of the Empower Graduate Program you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to flourish in your career. Our program includes:
- Fun-filled Induction and Orientation Program – structured orientation with shadowing of senior clinicians
- Graduate GROWTH Plan – explicit plan of what you want to achieve
- Comprehensive 6-week Induction to ease the transition from Student to Graduate
- Weekly 1:1 Mentoring for the first 6 months, followed by group mentoring
- Monthly online professional development courses and clinical development workshops
- Access to a wide range of online courses through the Learning Management System
- A $1500 External Professional Development Fund

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- Pending Registration with AHPRA
- Police Check Clearance
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
- Passion to support people to live their lives the way they want to
