New England Biolabs (NEB) is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Pradhan lab. The project focuses on studying the relationship between chromatin packaging and transcriptional regulation during development and disease in mammalian cells using single cell technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Conceptualize and conduct experiments supporting research projects, ensuring methodological consistency and adherence to timelines.
2. Review related literature to support experiment design and report development for presentations and seminars.
3. Write and publish articles in peer-reviewed, preferably open-access, journals, maintaining high academic standards and showcasing NEB's scientific leadership.
4. Participate in and manage collaborative research within NEB and with external labs by exchanging ideas and implementing experiments.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
1. Recent PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Genomics with strong bioinformatics skills.
2. Proficiency in using single cell or low cell number experimental and/or clinical samples.
3. Familiarity with open-source DNA-seq, Bisulfite-seq, ChIP-seq, and RNA-seq analysis pipelines, and public databases (e.g., TCGA, UCSC Genome Browser, Ensembl). Operational knowledge of coding/scripting languages (Java, Python, Perl, R) and experience working in an HPC environment.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
1. Knowledge of basic statistics.
2. Experience in mammalian cell culture and NGS library preparation for DNA and RNA analysis.
