Role description: Due to consistent growth in our team and a steadily improving pipeline of work in our core business of civil highways engineering, we are seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities with Arcadis for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Perth. This role involves designing and overseeing the structural components of major highway projects, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our projects with Main Roads Western Australia, contributing to the development and maintenance of critical transport infrastructure. Role accountabilities:
* Develop and review structural designs for bridges, overpasses, and other highway-related structures using advanced engineering software and techniques.
* Lead structural engineering aspects of projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Perform complex structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
* Conduct detailed reviews and inspections of structural designs and construction work.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate design concepts and address project requirements.
* Incorporate innovative and sustainable practices into structural designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.
Qualification & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable with experience in civil structure projects and come to us with:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on highway and bridge projects.
* Proficiency in structural design software such asSTAAD.Pro, LUSAS, Midas Civil, Strand 7, or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of Main Roads WA standards and engineering practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
* · Demonstrated ability to lead a small team is desirable
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
