Job Summary
This role involves enforcing Council regulations, issuing compliance notices and infringement notices, and undertaking animal management initiatives.
* Develop and implement community education programs to promote responsible pet ownership.
* Conduct regular patrols of problem areas to monitor wandering and nuisance domestic animals.
* Control and impound wandering livestock.
* Issue compliance notices and infringement notices for breaches of regulations/legislation.
* Transport impounded animals to veterinarians for treatment or euthanasia.
About the Role
This position reports to the Manager Environment and Municipal. Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and operating Council's animal management obligations.
* Ensuring compliance with legislative, policy, and local law requirements.
