About the role

We are seeking a motivated Hardware Engineer - Electronic / Electrical to join our Hardware Team and contribute to the design, development, testing and configuration of a diverse range of electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical products.

Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will be exposed to the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition through to detailed design, integration and test.

This role is ideal for an engineer looking to build strong technical foundations, gain exposure to defence-grade hardware development, and grow their career within a structured engineering environment.

As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:

* Support all phases of R&D and product development, including requirements capture, analogue and digital design, documentation, and verification activities
* Design and document electronic and electrical hardware in line with defined standards, processes and quality requirements
* Undertake testing and support integration and on-site testing activities as required
* Apply configuration management, quality and regulatory requirements throughout the design lifecycle
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, proactively seeking guidance and feedback
* Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools and practices
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and the Quality Management System

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

* Demonstrated capability in designing and developing electronic/electrical hardware (e.g. circuit boards, computer systems, or associated hardware)
* Understanding of engineering lifecycle processes for small to medium hardware projects
* Exposure to configuration management and quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
* Strong teamwork mindset with developing communication and problem-solving skills

Qualification:

* Degree qualification in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering (or related discipline)

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
