Primary Location VIC - Clayton South Job Description Summary Join a high-performing team and manage subcontractors to ensure high-quality project delivery. About the Role The primary focus of this role is to oversee a large portfolio of nbn ODM construction projects, conduct site assessments, lead a team of subcontractors, and proactively manage construction orders to meet key project deadlines. This role requires occasional travel to Regional Victoria. Nature of position: Permanent full time Location: VIC (Clayton South) Reporting Line: Area Manager Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and coordinate field staff and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. Conduct site assessments and surveys, compiling deliverables required for quotes, designs, and certifications. Oversee a large portfolio of projects, proactively scheduling construction activities to meet key deadlines. Apply a strong understanding of nbn design standards to ensure accurate scoping and surveying. Review and interpret construction designs to ensure builds meet the required specifications. Ensure all fieldwork is completed to a high standard, adhering to OH&S policies and procedures. Conduct Toolbox talks, HSE & Quality inspections to maintain compliance and safety. Support training initiatives for staff and subcontractors while managing subcontractor compliance. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to effectively manage the network and plant infrastructure. Coordinate with public authorities to arrange services and ensure compliance when working in public areas. Provide regular reports to management and clients on project status and progress. Ensure contractors meet operational KPIs, including resolving defects and submitting claims within three days of project completion. About You: Experience working within the external plant network. Proven ability to lead teams of subcontractors and manage large-scale projects. Prior experience in nbn contracts is highly regarded. Strong background in site assessments. Hands-on experience in civil construction, cable hauling, and nbn fibre projects. Familiarity with HFC, FTTN, FTTC, and FTTP. Track record of managing operational performance and targets. Proficiency in excel and data management. Strong contract management skills with a flexible and solutions-driven approach. A client-focused mindset with excellent negotiation skills.
