The Clinical Program Manager, BCVI, reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities :
1. Provide management and oversight of existing and newly created cardiovascular clinical programs, including developing the business case for new programs and directly managing clinical and non-clinical staff, such as advanced practice providers, nurse clinicians, and other support staff.
2. Manage cardiovascular clinical programs, including but not limited to:
* Cardiac Surgery pre-op consultation and OR management
* Cardiac Surgery post-op management
* Ventricular Assist Devices and Heart Transplant program
* Other niche programs, e.g., bicuspid aortic valve program, atrial fibrillation program, TAVR, Acute MCS / ECMO
Direct Responsibilities :
1. Work closely with Resources Coordinator and team leads to manage APP, RN, and non-clinical staff in each program.
2. Oversee daily operations, including payroll, hiring, supervision, professional development, and performance monitoring.
3. Collaborate with the Director, Professional Practice and Development for APPs, to develop and monitor professional development plans.
4. Ensure workflows facilitate seamless care coordination across the BCVI spectrum, including pre-op/testing, outpatient and inpatient management, follow-up, and transition back home.
5. Maintain quality oversight and monitor patient satisfaction.
6. Coordinate research efforts related to programs.
7. Oversee onboarding of new staff within BCVI programs lacking a direct reporting relationship.
8. Identify and pursue initiatives that enhance patient experience, reputation, market position, financial performance, and clinical capability.
9. Contribute to strategic planning for BCVI growth with favorable outcomes.
10. Analyze potential initiatives for risks, resources, and financial benefits through comprehensive research.
11. Develop and manage systems to measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of business initiatives.
12. Collaborate with departments like Business Development, Professional Services, and others to evaluate programs and align them with organizational goals.
13. Partner with outcomes management and operational managers to systematize program monitoring and management.
Qualifications
Required :
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, or related field.
* Current IL license as a Registered Nurse, APN, PA, or Physical Therapist.
* For APN: Certification by a national certifying body.
* For PA: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
* Five to eight years of relevant experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Strong project management, organizational, analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred :
* Master’s degree in MBA or MHA preferred; required if work experience is lacking.
* Certification in area of specialty or administration.
