Lead meaningful restoration work across one of Queensland's most diverse landscapes.
About Us
Gympie & District Landcare Group (GDLG) is a community-based, profit-for-purpose organisation regenerating the land and fostering ecological awareness throughout the Mary River catchment and its surrounds.
Our work spans three key areas:
* Environmental & Conservation Services - delivering on-ground bush regeneration, revegetation and natural area management for landholders and partners.
* Native Nursery - a regional nursery supplying high-quality local provenance plants.
* Community Education - supporting people to learn, connect, and take part in caring for the environment.
The Opportunity
We're looking for another experienced Environmental Supervisor to lead a skilled team of bush regenerators in restoring ecosystems across our beautiful region from the coastal dunes of Rainbow Beach, to the dry rainforests of the western ranges, and along the winding tributaries of the Mary River.
This role suits someone who thrives outdoors, values ecological integrity, and finds meaning in guiding others. You'll balance practical leadership with a deep respect for the land, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in harmony with nature's rhythms.
About You
You're an experienced bush regenerator with a genuine passion for ecological restoration and a knack for bringing people together in the field. You understand that good supervision means leading by example, keeping quality high, safety front of mind, and morale strong.
You'll join a tight-knit, friendly team that values open communication, shared learning, and collaboration. At GDLG, every voice matters. We welcome ideas, innovation, and conversation about how to keep improving our methods and enhance long-term ecosystem health.
Required for the Role of Field Supervisor
* Diploma (or equivalent) or relevant experience in Conservation and Land Management.
* Minimum three years' experience in natural area management, with strong working knowledge of bush regeneration, integrated weed control, and revegetation techniques.
* Minimum one year of team supervision experience, including quality control, WHS procedures, and stakeholder communication.
* Sound native and invasive flora identification skills for SEQ ecosystems.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
This position is casual, offering around 38 hours per week.
Pay rate: Field Supervisor - $38.30 per hour.
We offer steady diverse work for the right candidate, a supportive crew culture, and the satisfaction of seeing the land thrive again.
