This role provides the opportunity to deliver advanced clinical leadership and specialist mental health expertise within a fast-paced crisis environment. You will apply independent, evidence-based professional judgement, relevant legislation and best-practice standards to complex and evolving situations, while supporting and guiding peer workers to help people navigate their time at the Crisis Support Space. The role contributes to the development of clinical procedures and multidisciplinary protocols that strengthen continuity of care and service quality.

About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS):provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of mental health whilst supporting peer workers to lead and navigate people through their time at the Crisis Support Space.
* Apply independent professional judgement, based on valid and reliable evidence, and apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards, to a complex ever-changing environment to continuously contribute to the development of best practice services.
* Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols, for both the disciple and the multi-disciplinary team, that supports the continuum of care.
* Oversee the Crisis Support Service offering leadership to ensure that health and safety and clinical safety is maintained for staff, visitors and consumers.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
* Occupational Therapy
* Psychology
* Social Work
* Registered Nurse
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification at a minimum of an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 8 (Graduate Diploma) is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $169,138 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $74.76 p.h.
