About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at Youi HQ in Sippy Downs on a 13-month maternity leave contract.
In this role, you’ll support the delivery of accurate financial reporting by managing reconciliations, general ledger activities, and day-to-day accounting processes. You’ll play an important role in keeping financial operations running smoothly, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare general ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve variances Support claims recovery accounting and banking processes Maintain the fixed assets register, including depreciation and asset tracking Assist with accounts payable tasks such as invoice and credit card processing Support audit requests, reporting and stakeholder queries Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls and standards Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies

Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or similar (completed or in progress (desired)) Around 3+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role preferred Strong experience with reconciliations and general ledger processes Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office Experience working in a fast-paced environment Exposure to insurance or financial services is advantageous but not essential

In-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
