About the Role
We are a high-growth cybersecurity startup seeking a hands‐on and proactive Senior Accountant to help build and scale our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and has experience with NetSuite. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting, while also helping to establish processes and controls from the ground up and help strengthen our accounting operations as we scale.
This is a one year fixed term employment opportunity to cover a temporary leave. This could be slightly shorter or longer than 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Month‐End Close & General Accounting
* Own key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
* Prepare and review journal entries, run month‐end Billing process, perform analytical review of monthly performance
* Reporting actual results against targets and providing insightful commentary into the variances and growth
* Other adhoc responsibilities as required
Monthly forecasting and budget
* Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to update and refine rolling revenue pipeline and forecasts
* Support annual budgeting process
Audit & Compliance
* Support annual financial audits, including preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring timely completion
* Assist with internal controls documentation and process improvements to strengthen financial governance
Cross‐Functional Collaboration
* Partner with HR, FP&A, Procurement, and outsourced accounting firms to ensure accurate financial data and alignment across teams
* Support process automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‐eligible preferred
* 3–7+ years of financial accounting and management accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or cybersecurity
* Strong hands‐on experience with NetSuite preferred
* Experience with multi‐entity and intercompany accounting
* Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
* Self‐starter with the ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast‐paced environment
* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Experience
* Commercial finance mind‐set and the ability to support and build relationships with key stakeholders to help aid decision making
* Analytical mindset, ability to work well with manual spreadsheets and unstructured problem solving
* Have excellent communication skills, commercial accounting skills and business acumen
* SaaS or cybersecurity industry experience preferred but not essential
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‐eligible preferred
