Senior Laboratory Manager Role
Join a dynamic team of experts in laboratory management and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site laboratory. As Senior Laboratory Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the lab, guaranteeing high-quality services to our clients.
* Spearhead the implementation of process improvements to optimize lab performance
* Mentor and guide junior staff members to enhance their skills and expertise
You will be responsible for managing instrumentation, calibration, and quality systems. Additionally, you will participate in ongoing process improvement programs and roster staff to ensure client requirements are met in terms of timeliness and quality.
To excel in this position, you must possess significant experience in coal sampling, laboratory, and analysis procedures, as well as supervisory experience preferably in a laboratory environment. You should have a working knowledge of laboratory tests and hold a valid QLD C Class manual drivers license. A higher school certificate or associate diploma in applied science, chemistry, or equivalent is required.
Ongoing drug and alcohol testing, meeting site inductions, including COVID vaccinations, will be a requirement of working on-site. It is also essential that you reside locally in the Mackay region and do not work on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis.
