18-month, full-time fixed term contract Exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC) Royal Prince Alfred RPA ‘Health for Life’ Program Base Salary: $108,557 17% superannuation About the opportunity This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of the CPC RPA ‘Health for Life’ Program—a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting lifestyle-based health interventions. As the Healthy Longevity Chef, you will be responsible for designing and delivering the culinary and nutritional components of the Lifestyle Health Promotion Clinical and Educational Project. Working closely with a multidisciplinary research team, you will translate evidence-based culinary medicine into engaging educational and training programs that promote healthy eating and cooking across diverse groups and communities. Your key responsibilities will be to: work and collaborate with a dynamic and interdisciplinary team under the guidance of the Professor and Chair in Translational Metabolic Health at the University of Sydney lead the development of healthy, accessible, and culturally appropriate recipes and cooking skills, and culinary resources to improve nutrition through home-cooking for the CPC RPA ‘Health for Life’ program collaborate with the research team to ensure delivery of the CPC RPA Lifestyle Medicine and Educational program’s milestones in a timely manner design, coordinate and develop material to conduct workshops, demonstrations, and training sessions tailored to different audiences create tasty, seasonal, affordable, healthy and nutritious recipes that are easy to prepare and encourage sustained healthy eating habits. manage procurement of necessary equipment and consumables through preferred suppliers ensure full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety policies, procedures, and standards. About you You will bring passion and creativity to the role, along with: a trade certificate in cookery, butchery, and/or equivalent experience and training in a relevant field extensive experience and expertise in demonstration cooking, healthy cooking and menu development, and culinary education strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences a genuine passion for healthy cooking and nutrition, with an ability to inspire and educate others. demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment proven experience in planning and executing engaging culinary presentations and hands-on workshops. certification in safe food handling and storage.
