Theatre Technician
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced technician to join our team in delivering high quality technical services.
This position will require you to draw upon your experience and technical knowledge in creative arts or technical production to deliver all technical operations including preparing, planning, maintaining and deploying the venue's audio, lighting and staging assets to support local, professional and community events.
This position is also responsible for implementing maintenance schedules for all technical tools and equipment to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, industry guidelines, Australian standards and codes of practice.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare, plan, maintain and deploy the venue's audio, lighting and staging assets to support local, professional and community events
* Implement maintenance schedules for all technical tools and equipment
* Work in accordance with a roster which includes weekends and evening work
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Certificate III or above in the field of creative arts, technical production, music or other relevant equivalent discipline.
You will bring experience working in creative arts or technical production, and have demonstrated knowledge of creative arts, venue operations and technical production.
In addition to your technical knowledge, you will have excellent problem solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
