What you’ll do The Manager – Cloud Hosting Engineering is responsible for leading the engineering capability across Crown’s enterprise cloud platforms. This role owns the design, deployment, optimisation and operational performance of public and hybrid cloud environments, including full cloud platform builds, landing zone architecture, governance frameworks and integration with on premise infrastructure. You will lead a high performing team of cloud engineers, balancing BAU platform stability with transformation initiatives such as cloud migration, multi cloud integration, automation uplift and platform modernisation, while ensuring services are secure, resilient and cost efficient.
Define and execute the enterprise cloud hosting strategy, aligned to business objectives, security standards and Crown’s hybrid architecture roadmap.
Establish clear cloud platform roadmaps, including landing zone maturity, automation frameworks and governance models.
Lead the design and evolution of hybrid and multi cloud environments, integrating public cloud platforms with on premise and enterprise services.
Lead, coach and develop cloud engineering teams, setting clear priorities, sprint cadences and measurable delivery outcomes.
Own engineering design and delivery for cloud platforms, migrations and foundational services, from architecture through to stabilisation.
Ensure operational excellence, including availability, resilience, incident management, security posture and regulatory compliance.
Drive cloud cost optimisation and consumption governance, ensuring financial accountability and sustainable platform growth.
Manage cloud partners and managed service providers, holding them accountable to SLAs, engineering standards, performance outcomes and cost controls.
What you’ll bring
Extensive hands on experience designing, delivering and operating enterprise cloud platforms, including foundational landing zones, identity integration, networking constructs and automation frameworks.
Proven delivery of cloud migration or modernisation initiatives, operating at enterprise scale while maintaining BAU platform stability.
Strong capability designing hybrid and multi cloud architectures, integrating public cloud services with on premise infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
Deep experience establishing cloud governance frameworks, including guardrails, policy enforcement, infrastructure as code standards and lifecycle management.
Metrics driven operational leadership, with experience managing cloud KPIs such as availability, resource utilisation, cost per workload, SLA adherence and delivery velocity.
Demonstrated ability to balance operational reliability with transformation delivery, supported by disciplined change and incident management.
Experience operating within cloud partner or managed service delivery models, holding providers accountable for service quality, security posture and cost efficiency.
