An exciting opportunity to be a part of a design-led showroom — where every detail is thoughtfully considered.
As our BDM, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, increasing market awareness of Focal Glow and creating nurturing long-term partnerships. You'll work closely with our founder/director and the design team to identify opportunities, generate new business, and support project conversion from concept through to delivery.
This role combines relationship-building, sales strategy, and genuine design appreciation.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and grow relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and electrical contractors
* Manage and expand Focal Glow's client portfolio across Brisbane and beyond.
* Promote Focal Glow's lighting design services and premium product offerings
* Conduct showroom appointments, presentations, and site visits
* Identify new project opportunities and manage the sales pipeline
* Prepare proposals, quotations, and project briefs with support from the design team
* Represent the brand at industry events and networking opportunities
* Maintain CRM records and track key sales metrics
* Collaborate with the design team to ensure smooth project handover and client satisfaction
Who We're Looking For
* Proven experience in business development, specification sales, with experience in lighting/architecture/interior design related roles
* Strong understanding of the design and construction process
* Confident communicator with exceptional relationship‐building skills
* Self‐motivated, organised, and able to work autonomously
* Passion for architectural lighting and design excellence
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for meetings/site visits
* Experience with lighting or electrical products advantageous
