The Lead, Transnational Education Development, China plays a pivotal role in advancing Monash University's global engagement strategy by driving the growth and sustainability of transnational education (TNE) partnerships with Chinese institutions. Leading a small, high‐performing team, this role supports the Director, China Engagement in identifying and developing new pathways while strengthening existing programs that facilitate student mobility to Monash campuses in Australia and Malaysia.
This position will be responsible for leading and coordinating cross‐university efforts to design, develop and deliver TNE programmes that meet student enrolment targets. Working closely with UMAC, Monash Faculties, Monash College and international campuses, the role ensures alignment with broader recruitment objectives. It will cultivate and manage key stakeholder relationships, including agents, government bodies and partner universities, while overseeing research, market insights and forecasting to inform decision‐making. The role also drives opportunity identification, partnership negotiation, programme implementation and team performance, ensuring outcomes are delivered effectively and in line with university priorities.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong track record in developing and managing strategic partnerships, ideally within higher education, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
