Buyer – Outdoor Retail

As a Buyer, you'll spearhead the full product lifecycle—from range planning and supplier negotiations to system data management and cross‑team collaboration. You'll also contribute to well-executed product campaigns and sustainable decision‑making across retail and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities
·Create seasonal and ongoing product assortments that align with sales insights and sustainability goals
·Negotiate supplier terms—pricing, delivery, and margins
·Maintain product and supplier records within ProntoXi or equivalent ERP systems
·Partner with marketing, digital, and retail teams
·Monitor category performance and KPIs, including stock availability and customer feedback
·Participate in product launches, trade shows, and sustainability initiatives
About You
Essential:
·Minimum 3 years of buying or merchandise planning experience, ideally in outdoor, lifestyle, or sporting industries
·Passion for adventure travel, bushwalking, hiking, climbing or trail running
·Excellent negotiation and Excel skills
·Strong commercial awareness and analytical rigour
·Passion for sustainability and ethical retail
·Exceptional communication skills and supplier management
·Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced retail environment
Desirable:
·Familiarity with Pronto Xi or similar ERP platforms
