The role
Engineering Manager – Brisbane
NES Fircroft has partnered with a well‐established and growing electrical contractor and engineering business delivering projects across the infrastructure and industrial sectors, to recruit an Engineering Manager. This position will see you leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and strategic oversight to support continued team growth and performance.

Project leadership experience will be highly regarded; however, the key focus of the position is driving team growth, performance, and capability to take the engineering function to the next level. Key Responsibilities
- Take a lead position in contributing towards the development of the Business Unit's environmental plans
- Demonstrate, and lead from the front, with committing to sustainable development practices within projects
- Take the responsibility of generating a leading culture that coincides with the Business Unit Leadership Team
- Implement and communicate with employees on role responsibilities, and lead conversations regarding performance and development techniques to enable success individually and collectively
- Develop and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships that generate confidence throughout the business, and builds credibility to support the business with new opportunities
- Continuously build technical capabilities throughout the team in line with the Business Unit Frameworks in projects whilst ensuring full compliance with designated standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering leadership roles that have strong focuses on people management, project delivery, and collective performance across several environments
- Demonstrated success in offering and guiding technical decisions that contribute towards positive project outcomes
- Recognised capabilities in leading and nurturing high‐performing teams through means of coaching, mentoring, and creating a culture of improvement
- Credibility in working with several internal and external divisions; Sales, HR, Project Management, and other members of Senior Leadership.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering (Power/Control Systems)
- Minimum of 5 years as Lead Engineer or equivalent
- Construction Industry White Card
- Qualified RPEQ
- Class C Driver's License (QLD).
