A highly specialised education centre in North West Sydney is seeking a dedicated and resilient Secondary Teacher to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. This setting supports students who have become disengaged from mainstream education, offering a more personalised, supportive, and flexible approach to learning.
This is more than a teaching role – it's an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people who need it most.
This is a full‐time teaching role, commencing in Term 2 until the end of 2026, with an opportunity for ongoing work in 2027.

The Role
You will work closely with students who may have faced barriers to learning, helping them to re‐engage with education through tailored teaching approaches, patience, and strong relationship‐building.
The role requires flexibility, emotional intelligence, and a calm, consistent approach. Every day is different – and every small win matters.
Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across secondary year levels.
Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students.
Support student wellbeing and emotional regulation.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to individual learning and behaviour support plans.
Qualified Secondary or Special Education Teacher (any subject) with relevant experience.
Experience working with disengaged or vulnerable students is highly regarded.
Strong classroom management and relationship‐building skills.
Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
Ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning needs.
A genuine passion for supporting students beyond academics.
