Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life. Active areas include Galaxy underground, Cue open pit, and Penny underground, with further expansion and exploration underway.
The Role
Our Graduate Program Offers a Unique Opportunity To Rotate Through Underground, Open Pit, And Exploration Geology Teams. You'll Gain Hands-on Experience, Mentorship, And The Practical Exposure Needed To Build a Rewarding Career In Geology. You Will
* Undertake geological mapping, core logging, and sampling (RC and diamond)
* Assist with ore block mark-ups, stockpile management, and daily production tracking
* Learn and apply sound geological observation and recording techniques
* Support grade control and ore recovery efforts to minimise dilution
* Work with drilling contractors and conduct regular safety inspections
* Contribute to geological interpretation and modelling
* Manage and validate drillhole, assay, and production data
* Learn and apply blast movement monitoring techniques
* Communicate geological insights across departments and stakeholders
* Participate in project work and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You Are a Motivated And Hands-on Graduate Geologist Who's Ready To Apply Your Knowledge In a Real-world Mining Environment. You're Driven By Discovery, Thrive On Solving Problems, And Bring a Practical Mindset To Every Challenge. You're Eager To Learn From Experienced Mentors And Contribute Meaningfully To a High-performing Team. You Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
* Vacation work experience in mining or exploration (advantageous)
* Familiarity with geological software and Microsoft Office (preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A current WA C Class (manual) driver's licence and eligibility for a National Police Clearance
