Aviair, formerly known as Slingair, was founded in 1984 and has been under local Kununurra ownership since April 2016. We are a multi‑award‑winning regional airline, with significant operations in Kununurra, Broome, Karratha, and Adelaide. About the role Aviair is seeking a highly skilled C208/B200 Line Pilot with Instructor / Check Pilot experience for the C208 to join our team. You can expect diverse flying opportunities throughout regional Western Australia. This includes, day and night flying, remote community services and Air Transport Services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to line flying duties, pilots are expected to assist with the following duties:
* Cleaning of Aircraft
* Assisting the operations team as required
* Supporting the other pilots with pre- and post‑flight duties
* General Maintenance of the base
Instructor / Check Pilot Responsibilities
Additionally, this role will have responsibilities as an Instructor/Check Pilot that include:
* Delivery of C208 endorsement training as required
* Conduct flight reviews and check and training duties as needed
* The safe and efficient conduct of their allocated student’s dual flying training and the generation and maintenance of associated flight training records
* The checking of flight times against aircraft records and, if necessary, correction of the pilot logbooks of their allocated students
* Accurate completion of company flight and duty time records
* Ensuring that all Training and Checking activities undertaken are done so in a safe and efficient manner
* The conduct and supervision of OPCs
* The delivery and assessment of ground training courses and recurrent training
* Delivery and assessment of competency of Emergency Training for all Company personnel and assisting and advising training personnel wherever practical.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
* CASA/ICAO commercial pilot licence (A)
* CASA/ICAO class 1 aviation medical
* 3000 hours total flying
* 100 hours on type
* Significant instructional C208 check pilot experience
* Work experience in CASR 135, 138 operations desirable
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
