Crawfords is a privately owned and locally operated transportation and logistics company. Our operations are in road, rail, port logistics and warehousing. We operate multiple depots in New South Wales and Central Queensland.
The Opportunities
Join our expanding team in Sandgate where no day is the same and you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of different duties in Heavy Vehicle Body Building and Repairs as part of the afternoon team.
What we are looking for
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or plans to determine specifications and requirements.
General fabrication and truck body manufacturing.
Assist in the repairs and maintenance of related products.
Operate machinery and use hand tools to cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal components.
Use various welding techniques, including MIG & TIG welding, to assemble and weld metal components accurately.
Measure and inspect completed workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards.
Collaborate with team members and mechanics to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Three years of relevant experience in the industry.
Proficiency in using welding equipment and other fabrication tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and operate machinery safely.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
The ability to pass a Police check, Pre-Employment Medical and random Drug & Alcohol testing.
A positive attitude toward work and customer service.
To be reliable, flexible and willing to learn.
