Commercial Officer Position
BAE Systems Australia seeks a skilled Commercial Officer to support the Australian Defence Forces. As a key member of our Aerospace line of business, your expertise will drive commercial success and ensure optimal outcomes for customers.
* Manage complex contracts and commercial agreements through negotiation and finalization, ensuring maximum benefit for both parties.
* Collaborate with internal teams to review and draft contracts, supporting the Life Cycle Management process.
* Understand customer requirements through thorough research, open discussion, and clarification questions, providing timely solutions.
* Support procurement colleagues in preparing subcontract terms and conditions as needed.
* Work closely with internal and external legal teams to guarantee all contracts meet necessary governance standards.
* Contribute to major Life Cycle Management reviews and Request for Bid Approval processes, securing required approvals.
* Assist the Commercial Manager and team members as needed.
* Prior experience in a similar role.
* A flexible attitude with a proactive approach.
* Strong team orientation and excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Curious and analytical mindset.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
* Proficiency in MS Suite, SharePoint, and Oracle tools.
* Eligibility for ITAR regulations clearance.
