About the Role
Our Risk Actuarial / Risk Modelling Services team assists clients in all facets of risk management. We focus on areas including modelling risk for measurement and management purposes and cover industry challenges in banking, general insurance and life insurance. We deliver large scale Actuarial / Risk modelling programs, helping clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, manage risks, leverage talent, or fundamentally change the way they do business. Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Senior Manager to support banking clients in managing financial risks and delivering key business insights.
Use your expertise in Risk Management to solve new problems, with support and growth opportunities. We work remotely, so strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential. You will apply your knowledge of Risk Actuarial to deliver outcomes for clients, maintaining a focus on quality in a human-led, tech-enabled environment.
As an expert in risk within our team, you’ll collaborate with like-minded professionals, gaining experience across external projects and internally with other PwC teams. Your experience will enable you to assist clients across industries such as banking and financial services.
Key Skills and Experience
* Retail or wholesale credit risk modelling and quantitative analysis, including provisioning (e.g., AASB 9), regulatory capital (e.g., AIRB approaches to PD, LGD, EAD)
* Valued expertise in stress testing, credit lifecycle, climate risk modelling, credit pricing, and portfolio analytics
* Practical knowledge of prudential regulatory requirements and their implementation
* 8+ years of experience in banking, fintech, private credit, or risk consulting services
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client engagement skills
* Excellent communication, project, and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing teams and projects
* Ability to support and develop junior team members in a high-performing environment
* Educational background in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, or Applied Mathematics; programming skills in SAS, R, Python, SQL
