About the role The Senior Security Engineer in the Security Architect & Engineering team, will work a diverse range of stakeholders across reecetech and the wider Reece business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a true security engineering generalist who enjoys solving diverse problems across multi domains, who embraces automation over manual processing, and continuously invests in learning new tools, technologies, and better ways of working. The role contributes directly to Reece’s security strategy by building secure‑by‑design capabilities, improving security tooling coverage and maturity, and ensuring our platforms remain reliable, scalable, and resilient. Your day to day Work on a defensive portfolio spanning across; identity (SSO, MFA), email and web security, EDR, vulnerability management and scanning. Implement, configure, update, and optimise security tools and technologies hosted on-premises and in cloud environments. Monitor and respond to requests and operational alerts of the tooling, working with users and other technology teams to ensure security is maintained while business impact is reduced. Contribute to team planning to develop a backlog of strategic initiatives. Mentor and assist team members to achieve their best and further their professional skills. We have hybrid working in place – however the team generally work together from our support centre in Cremorne 4 days each week About you Extensive experience within Information Security, securing systems, data, and processes. Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, detection logic, incident response, and risk management processes. Experience implementing and operating security technologies to identify, address, and resolve security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents. Applied knowledge of various frameworks such as ISO, NIST, Essential 8 and the development of security controls that reduces risks as identified by these frameworks Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, LogScale, or LogRhythm.
