Lead Enterprise Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to lead the development and maturity of enterprise architecture practices across our organisation.
This role will drive strategic ICT planning and enable digital transformation initiatives aligned with whole-of-government frameworks and business objectives. The role is based in Canberra with flexible hybrid arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement an enterprise architecture framework aligned to our strategy
* Develop and maintain enterprise artefacts such as capability models, technical landscapes, and ICT roadmaps
* Establish and promote architecture governance to drive consistent and scalable ICT practices
* Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders to ensure architecture is embedded in delivery
* Provide strategic and technical advice on ICT capability uplift and solution design
* Guide teams in applying architecture best practices across projects and programs
* Align architecture work with government digital policies and reporting requirements, including DTA standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 5+ years' experience as an Enterprise Architect, preferably in complex government environments
* Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, and Zachman
* Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into practical architecture deliverables
* Proven track record in leading enterprise-wide frameworks, roadmaps, and capability planning
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and executive audiences
* Ability to coach teams and embed architecture thinking into delivery and governance processes
