Job Description
The Industry Engagement Director plays a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the company's Australian Industry Capability strategy. This strategic position involves leading the development of plans across all campaigns, pursuits, and programs to ensure maximum competitiveness.
The successful candidate will possess extensive networks within the Australian defence industry and government, with a minimum of ten years' experience in Defence industry. Expert or mastery level knowledge of Australian industry and government is required, along with demonstrated experience in developing strategic supplier relationships.
The role demands exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with senior internal stakeholders to develop strategies, requirements, and resources. The Industry Engagement Director will also represent the company at tradeshows, forums, and conferences, engaging in public speaking engagements on behalf of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of the Australian Industry Capability strategy.
* Develop and implement plans across all company campaigns, pursuits, and programs.
* Architect and author plans, ensuring that all requirements are addressed to achieve competitive advantage.
* Support the conduct of industry engagement activities to identify opportunities for Australian industry to compete on merit.
* Represent the company to foster strong collaborative relationships with Australian industry, academia, Indigenous businesses, Defence industry associations, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
* Execute targeted engagement with priority suppliers to support their development and improve competitiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Established networks within Australian defence industry and government.
* Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Defence industry.
* Expert or mastery level knowledge of Australian industry and government.
* Demonstrated experience in developing strategic supplier relationships.
* Demonstrated experience supporting customer requirements and meeting time-critical deadlines.
* Knowledge of the Australian industry policy framework and ASDEFCON.
