The opportunity
As an Electrical Discipline Lead, you will lead electrical building services design for new and upgraded stations and associated buildings across SPA. This role is open to experienced Senior to Associate level Electrical Engineers who are ready to step into a discipline leadership position.
You will deliver safe, reliable and future‐ready electrical solutions that support high‐quality passenger experiences and resilient rail precincts. Working closely with mechanical, fire, structural, civil and architectural teams, you will collaborate with alliance partners and client representatives.
This role offers ownership of key station and building packages, opportunities to mentor others, and the chance to build your profile on one of Victoria's flagship infrastructure programs.
What you will do
* Lead electrical building services design for station buildings, platforms, public areas, amenities, operational rooms and supporting infrastructure
* Deliver lighting, LV power distribution, earthing, communications pathways, emergency systems and associated building services
* Coordinate closely with architecture, civil, structures, fire, mechanical and hydraulic teams to ensure integrated, buildable solutions
* Produce high quality drawings, specifications, calculations and design reports
* Support quality, safety and design assurance processes within the SPA alliance environment
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability uplift across the Building Services team
What you bring
* Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
* 7 to 10 plus years experience in building services design, ideally within consulting
* Strong background in electrical services for buildings such as stations, civic infrastructure, commercial, health or education
* Proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
* Solid knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, NCC and relevant Australian Standards
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders and interfaces
