The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross‐sector collaboration. The department plays an significant system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Role
A streamlining access officer will be located in the LOOKOUT Centre SEVR to improve access to high‐quality early childhood education for children known to child protection aged under three years of age. Early engagement with quality services that also provide kindergarten will facilitate timely and successful transition to early start kindergarten.
To achieve this, the streamlining access officer will work collaboratively with early childhood learning advisors and early childhood implementation branches to co‐ordinate proactive engagement with child protection and other relevant stakeholders such as family services, child first/orange door for the purpose of building capacity and capability to enrol children in quality ECEC services. The streamlining access officer will also be available to provide advice in relation to complex cases.
