The new Nurse Led Clinic will complement existing Gladstone Hospital services and will not replace existing models of general practitioner or emergency care.
It is a walk-in clinic providing care for adults and children greater than 2 years presenting with a range of health issues including colds, influenza, minor cuts, burns, minor infections and wounds.
The aim of the clinic is to improve access to health care and long-term health outcomes through assessment, referral for early intervention and treatment, and management of non-life-threatening minor injuries and illnesses.
The clinic will support integrated and extended hours health care through provision of free, non-life-threatening injury and illness ambulatory health care.

Provide quality urgent, same-day healthcare services for minor injuries and illnesses for the community.
Provide person-centred, efficient patient care underpinned by evidence-based practices.
Support local primary care services to meet the demands of the community.
Empower patients on their personal health journey.
About you
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
Previous experience working in emergency care, minor injury or illness clinics, community settings, paediatrics, child health or as an autonomous practitioner will be well regarded.
What we offer
Remuneration: total monthly value up to $7,694 comprised of an hourly rate between $ and a % employer superannuation contribution.
17.5% leave loading.
