Job Description:
This role is a great opportunity for experienced ICU or HDU trained Registered Nurses to take the next step in their careers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our expert surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals.
Responsibilities:
* Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care
* Demonstrate professional practice as evidenced by adherence to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's policies and processes
* Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
* Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
* Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum
* Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes
* Current Registration with AHPRA & Working rights in Australia
* 5+ years experience in an acute surgical or cardiac ward setting
* Commitment to Quality Patient Care
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
* Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Works well independently and within a team
* Post Graduate Certificate in ICU, HDU, or CCU (or working towards) is desirable
* 3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute ICU, or HDU setting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Registration with AHPRA and current working rights in Australia
* 5+ years experience in an acute surgical or cardiac ward setting
* Post Graduate Certificate in ICU, HDU, or CCU (or working towards)
* 3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute ICU, or HDU setting
