The First Peoples - State Relations Group is seeking talented and passionate individuals committed to progressing the Victorian Government's nation leading work with First Peoples - Multiple roles available
This is a unique opportunity to work in new and innovative ways that recognise First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria. This role will contribute to the ground-breaking work of the Group in the areas of truth, treaty, self-determination and cultural rights.
As an Inspector - Enforcement and Compliance, you will support the Team Leader - Enforcement and Compliance in providing strong leadership, advice and coordination in all areas relating to compliance and enforcement of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (the Act). You will also conduct proactive and reactive inspections throughout Victoria to deliver compliance and enforcement outputs which may range from stakeholder education to statutory outcomes such as penalty notices and directions.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in experience in undertaking inspections or monitoring with a reporting outcome, preferably in a regulatory environment
- Experience in preparing written documents, such as reports, statements, and correspondence that clearly conveys relevant information
- Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and the ability to establish and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives

Please note a current Victorian driver's licence is required for this role.
