Job Title: Workforce Planning and Training Manager
This role involves leading a team to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant employee rosters for a custom facility.
The successful candidate will oversee a small production recruitment team and production training team, ensuring the facility is effectively staffed, trained, and operationally efficient.
This is a pivotal role in driving workforce efficiency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
About the Role:
* Lead the workforce planning team to deliver effective, timely, and compliant rostering, recruitment, and training for operational employees.
* Provide workforce planning recommendations that optimize labour efficiency and minimize costs, while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and industrial instruments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with managers and supervisors to implement effective rostering systems and processes across the custom facility.
* Collaborate with payroll, people operations, and third-party agencies to support recruitment, attendance management, and smooth cross-functional workflows.
* Oversee the accuracy and maintenance of rostering systems, employee details, and workforce planning documentation, including process guides and cheat sheets.
* Lead the delivery and reporting of key workforce metrics, providing insights on overtime, meal breaks, shift swaps, absenteeism, and operational workforce performance.
* Drive recruitment strategy for production roles, including agency partnerships.
* Deliver structured onboarding and training programs to build capability and performance.
* Partner with payroll, people operations, and site leadership to ensure seamless workforce coordination.
* Represent workforce planning in operational projects and stakeholder engagements, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
* You have previous experience in workforce planning, rostering, and recruitment, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams.
* Experience working with and interpreting awards is essential.
* Continuous improvement and quality control skills are highly regarded.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teamwork are required.
* Data analysis skills are desirable.
* Tertiary or industry-related qualifications are desired but not essential.
