We are seeking an experienced and corporate Account Director to lead, service and organically grow a profitable portfolio with a strong focus on transport clients.

Clarity Partners is partnering with a well-established brokerage that services a range diverseSME, mid-market and corporate clients. The organisation is known for its collaborative culture, client-first approach, and commitment to professional development. You will manage key relationships, drive retention and modest new business growth, and lead a capable team of 2x Account Executives within a well-supported environment.

This is a great fit for a driven leader who thrives on building strong client relationships, has in-depth technical broking experience, and enjoys developing and mentoring high-performing teams.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and sustainably grow a book in excess of $1M revenue, heavily focused on transport, but also includes industries like wineries and labour hire.
* Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service, proactive communication, and year-round engagement.
* Negotiate renewals, manage complex placements, and act as a strategic advisor to clients.
* Supervise and mentor two experienced Account Executives who provide daily support on the portfolio.
* Contribute to business development initiatives and support cross-marketing activities.
* Handle high-value clients with revenue ranging from $50K–$250K (equivalent to $500K–$2.6M in premiums).
* Act as the client advocate throughout the claims process, ensuring timely and favourable outcomes.
* Maintain compliance with insurance legislation and continuously develop technical knowledge.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Senior Account Manager or Account Director in General Insurance Broking.
* Strong commercial lines experience, particularly with transport-related clients.
* Diploma of Financial Services or relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
* Demonstrated success in client retention, new business development, and people leadership.
* High attention to detail with a commitment to quality service delivery.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to delegate effectively and develop junior brokers.
