About the Role
This role works independently and autonomously with a range of adult clients requiring an OT assessment, and possible interventions in their homes.
The interventions can range from advice and recommendations to prescription of equipment and modifications.
The role also provides coverage to residents and acute inpatients in Multi-Purpose Services in smaller towns around Tamworth.
Orientation and support will be provided by your manager and other member of the wider team.
Where you'll be working
This position is based at Tamworth Community Health Centre in the Integrated Aged Care Team, which is made up of includes the Transitional Aged Care Program (nursing, OT, PT, AHA, Domestic), Clinical Nurse Consultants specialising in Dementia / Delirium, Psychogeriatrics, Continence and Women's Health, End of Life Clinical Nurse Educator, and immunisation programs.
This role works closely with Occupational Therapists from the Tamworth Community Health NECACS team and is clinically supported by a Level 4 OT in that team.
Tamworth, with a population of 60,000 is a modern progressive city set in a picturesque backdrop of tree covered mountains.

About You
You will have high level skills, experience and interest in working in a primarily community setting, providing assessment and intervention to clients to improve their safety, function and quality of life.
You will have the ability to work autonomously, and you will be client focused.

Rural Health Incentives
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Relocation package that includes the following
Attraction incentive paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $10,000 for the first 12-months
Retention incentive of up to $5,000 thereafter annually
PLUS 3 months accommodation assistance ( rent payments, mortgage re-payments, payments for commercial accommodation)
All payments and reimbursements made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
Attraction incentives will be paid as a RuralandRegional fortnightly allowance on top of your base salary.

Requirements
Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.

Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
