The Trade Desk is looking for a Manager, Editorial Content to support the Director, Editorial Content and broader team in executing all of The Trade Desk's editorial and thought leadership content. This person is a compelling writer and storyteller, with the ability to quickly develop corporate journalism articles, research reports, video concepting and scripting, podcasts, and executive communications content. This includes working cross-functionally with our global creative, communications, regional marketing, and business teams.
In this role, you will:
- Work together with the global editorial team in setting up the calendar, developing the content and distribution strategy that aligns to global business and marketing goals.- Develop draft content in all formats including thought leadership papers, blogs, research reports, microsites, social media, corporate news, podcasts etc.- Work with a range of business and marketing leaders in the inception, development and execution of thought leadership programming.- Work collaboratively with creative and production partners on pre-production, production, and post-production, including developing creative briefs and routing Bynder tickets.- Aid the development of proprietary data-driven industry reports that add value to industry conversation.- Concept new story ideas, identify sources and develop the draft- Route work for necessary approvals including: legal, Director of Editorial Content, Editor-in-Chief/CMO- Support budget management and expense coding
Who you are:
- We are looking for a strategic thinker, writer, and content creator with 5-7+ years of experience in a combination of Editorial, Content Strategy, PR/Journalism, and Content Amplification.- Experience working cross-functionally in the creation and execution of content.- Proven experience developing high quality, engaging content.- Proven experience creating and amplifying content across different audiences to drive response and engagement.- A hungry, eager-to-learn, immensely collaborative team player who can receive feedback easily and implement changes accordingly.- Understanding of the advertising industry and how brands and agencies operate.- Ability to work seamlessly across North Asia, APAC, EMEA time zones- Highly collaborative and able to work in a fast growth, entrepreneurial environment.- Mix of left/ right brain—able to drive creative ideas/ solutions and analytical content.
