The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading the Quality Control team and ensuring the implementation of Kerry Global food safety and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding product integrity, supporting compliance, and driving continuous improvement across production and laboratories.
*Key responsibilities*
* Lead the Quality Control team, ensuring timely testing and product release activities.
* Manage production laboratories, maintaining resources, equipment, and consumables to deliver uninterrupted service.
* Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to provide excellent customer service levels.
* Support prerequisite programs including pest control, sanitation, and GMP.
* Implement and maintain global food safety and quality programs in compliance with Kerry standards.
* Act as the gatekeeper for new product introduction (NPI) through the factory.
* Apply root cause analysis tools and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) plans to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
* Utilise Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis to enhance product quality and improve Process Capability Index (CpK).
* Provide leadership, management, evaluation, and training to laboratory employees.
* Conduct RCA and implement CAPA as required.
* Perform other tasks as directed by direct manager.
*Qualifications and skills*
* Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
* Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in food safety and quality assurance within the food industry.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience with prerequisite programs, HACCP, hazard analysis, and risk assessments.

* To interpret and apply policies and procedures effectively.
* Comfortable working in a busy operational environment and flexibility to support operational requirements across different.
* Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Proven capability in driving continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
* Knowledge of BRC, SQF, WQA, AQIS, HACCP, and GMP standards.
* Strong computer skills; advanced Excel and SAP experience desirable.
