Join the Infectious Diseases team at Townsville University Hospital (TUH) in a permanent part‐time role (64 hours per fortnight). You'll provide specialist care to patients with complex infectious diseases, contribute to ward rounds and outpatient clinics, and participate in the after‐hours on‐call roster.
Working within a collaborative tertiary centre, you'll contribute to antimicrobial stewardship through AMS review rounds, prescribing support and clinician education. You'll also support patient safety, audit, service planning and the development of Infectious Diseases as a clinical and academic specialty within the Townsville HHS.
The role includes supervision and training of Infectious Diseases registrars, with support to complete RACP SPDP requirements. It is suitable for experienced physicians and new Fellows starting specialist practice in 2026.

Essential qualifications
FRACP (or equivalent acceptable to RACP) and specialist registration in Infectious Diseases with the Medical Board of Australia, or eligibility to obtain these qualifications by April 2026.
