ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world.
With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Vancouver, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and Cape Town, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30+ years.
We require a Project / Senior Project Engineer to join the Project Delivery Team, to aid in the delivery and execution of complex engineering projects across Canada and around the world.
The position is Full Time, Vancouver based, there may be occasional site visits.
The Project / Senior Project Engineer role will suit any construction or resource sector professional with 4-15 years experience, who has a passion for working in a major project environment and being a part of the team that pulls the projects together, then executes the strategy, from study and design through to construction commissioning and handover.
The ideal applicant will have experience in electrical engineering packages.
ECG are extensively involved in the renewables space: much of our project work involves the evaluation of the renewables option as a client priority.
While an engineering qualification will be an advantage, we will look at those holding commercial and legal qualifications, as well as construction economics, as long as the requisite experience stacks up. The role will require strong organizational and communication skills, as they will be working in a fast paced client focussed environment, where many projects are running across Canada and around the world.
Ideal Key Experience Required
* Major project experience, both office and site
* Construction experience: understanding the processes and linkages
* Exposure to the engineering environment and the process of creating, revising and issuing engineering drawings
* Understanding and managing project scheduling
* Experience with Project Controls and Planning
* Experience in electrical engineering and associated plant and packages
Skills and Attributes required
* Engineering / business / legal / construction economics degree
* Strong report writing and written communication skills
* Moderate to advanced Excel and Project Wise knowledge
* Experience in Project Forecasting and Planning
* Tendering and Estimating experience
* Microsoft Office Experience, including Word, Powerpoint, Microsoft Project / P6
* Ultra positive work attitude, keen to work in a fast-paced role where organization is critical
