We have an exciting opportunity for a Libraries Business Engagement Team Leader to join our team
What You Will Do:
As the Libraries Business Engagement Team Leader, you will lead the development and delivery of engaging, high-quality services and programs that bring our library spaces to life. Your leadership will be key in driving a coordinated approach to learning, literacy, and creative programming, including managing volunteers, the First 5 Forever initiative, and all outreach events that activate our library spaces.
You will work closely with the Library Services Coordinator to manage people, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with Council's strategic goals. Collaborating flexibly with library management and wider Council teams, you will help deliver exceptional service and innovative programs that enrich our community.
In addition, you will lead library marketing and communications strategies, overseeing social media, website content, and promotional activities, to ensure our services are visible, accessible, and inspiring to all.
What We Are Looking For:
* Relevant tertiary/professional qualifications in librarianship/information science/ business or a related field (post-graduate in business management highly desirable) and/or demonstrated track record of success in a leadership role.
* Blue Card or eligibility to acquire.
* Demonstrated experience in inspirational team leadership and the capacity to manage and build a team focused on high-quality engagement services to the community.
* Demonstrated effective leadership and management of program delivery, events, marketing and leading, managing a range of projects and partnerships.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver projects including developing clear project plans and timelines, engaging in regular communication with all stakeholders, including team members and monitoring of project progress ensuring the project remains within budget, timelines and meets required standards.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide informed expert advice, prepare high-level reports and deliver presentations.
