The full-time lead role is responsible for ensuring the workforce is safe and productive daily. Completing daily tasks in timely manner while ensuring to escalate on discovery of issues preventing the completion of daily tasks in a safe manner. They also play a key role in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The Supervisor and leads work closely together whilst advising Management of any performance, safety, or improvement opportunities.
The core duties of the lead include:
* Allocation of work group tasks to team members.
* Updating work group team members of news, updates, or changes to work group workflows.
* Ensure pick and packaging for customer orders are checked and signed accordingly prior to release of consignment.
* Goods on delivery are checked for cartons and pallets quantities per delivery consignment prior to completing POD. Never complete a virtual GR (goods receipt) or POD without siting the consignment.
* Daily Inbound Receipts are cleared and transferred out to either stock, production, or dispatch.
* Identify slow moving items and move them accordingly
* Responsive to Customer Service in expediting Sales Order dispatch.
* Maintain work groups effective and efficient workflows.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities
* Daily startup and close tasks are completed by team members.
* Address team members attendance and performance issues
* Escalate issues immediately to the work group supervisor on identifying, blockers to daily work completion, product issues or safety alerts or concerns
The successful candidate will require:
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse role including lead experience
* Forklift license (desirable)
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Knowledge of WHS and proven track record with safety
* Strong communication skills
* Physical fitness to manage manual handling tasks.
* Eligible to work full time in Australia
