We are currently partnering with a major client in the consulting sector and are looking to secure a Junior Developer with good expertise, strong technical acumen, and a passion for delivering high‐quality outcomes.

About the Role
The Developer designs, builds, tests, and maintains secure, high-quality software solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. Working across backend (.NET, SQL) and modern frontend frameworks, they take technical responsibility throughout the software development lifecycle, applying enterprise architecture principles and development standards.
The role promotes agile and plan-driven approaches, champions Test-Driven and Behaviour-Driven Development, automated testing, and continuous integration. Developers work autonomously within Scrum teams, contribute to design decisions, ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met, and foster continuous improvement. They mentor colleagues, lead reviews, and uphold best practices to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
In this role, you will:
* Testing and Debugging: Write and execute unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure software quality and performance.
* Maintenance and Updates: Modify existing software to fix bugs, improve performance, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces.
* Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure software meets specifications and user needs.
* Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and reports on project specifications and progress.
* Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Consult with clients or internal departments to understand requirements, provide updates, and recommend improvements.
About you
We're looking for an experienced IT Developer who is passionate about creating functional and efficient software solutions.
* 1-4 years of hands‐on experience developing technical solutions.
* Problem‐Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve software issues efficiently.
* Knowledge of SDLC: Understanding of the software development life cycle, Agile methodologies, and object-relational mapping (ORM) frameworks.
* Soft Skills: Effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly Regarded
* Networking experience (e.g., CCNA/CCNP level or practical equivalents in firewalls, routing, VLANs)
* Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
* Experience with Kubernetes in on-premises environments
* Leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams
* Familiarity with ASD Essential Eight or defence compliance frameworks
* Due to the nature of the project, we are looking for AGSVA security cleared candidates (Baseline/NV1/NV2)
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
* Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
* Exposure to Digital Identity solutions.
